Description
Over time a build up of mineral deposits can attach to salt cell generator electrolyte plates. Salt cell cleaner is an effective way to clean up and de-scale the salt cells. Regular cleaning with Salt Cell Cleaner will help prolong the life of the cell, allowing the generator to operate at peak efficiency.
Directions for use: It is strongly recommended to use rubber gloves and eye protection when handling Salt Cell Cleaner solution. This product can be used for swimming pool or hot tub cells.
Quick 10-20 Minute Clean:
- Turn off power to pump and salt generator cell. Disconnect cell from plumbing line.
- Attach one end of the cell to cell cleaning stand so the cell is vertical with the open end facing up OR place entire cell in a plastic container for soaking OR cap one end of cell if it cannot be removed from plumbing line (refer to manufacturer instructions.)
- Fill the inside of the cell (OR the plastic soaking container) with 1 Litre of Cell Cleaner. If the cell plates are not completely submerged, add water slowly until plates are submerged.
- Let stand for 10 to 20 minutes. Then, remove the cell from the soaking container or drain the cleaning solution from the cell into a plastic container.
- Inspect the cell, and repeat if scale (light color, crusty, flaky deposits) have not been removed.
- Thoroughly rinse the cell with fresh water. Reconnect the cell to the plumbing and restart the pump, filter and generator.
